Associate Namespace

As a getting started guide, let's look at a simple scenario. Once you log into ServiceBus360 portal "you wanted to associate a messaging namespace and start monitoring the namespace.” Associating a namespace is the first step you do once your signup is successful. To associate a namespace, it is important to copy the namespace connection string details from your Azure portal.

To associate a messaging namespace from the home dashboard:

  1. Click the Associate Namespace button to directly navigate to the Associate Namespace blade.
  2. In the Associate Namespace blade, enter the following details:
  3. Friendly Name - It is an alias name of the Azure Namespace. This friendly name is valid only within ServiceBus360.
  4. Connection String - Enter the messaging namespace connection string value, this is available in the Azure portal. A Connection String with Manage claims policy is necessary to operate on Azure Namespaces.
  5. Azure Namespace - This field is automatically filled once the correct Connection String is filled in the above field
  6. Select Azure Namespace Type - Select the namespace type as Messaging namespace. Selecting wrong namespace type would not display the appropriate result.
  7. Click the Save button to complete the process and associate the namespace in ServiceBus360.
  8. Successfully associated Namespace will be listed in the Namespaces screen
  9. Note: When a namespace status is changed to the error state, it will be reflected in ServiceBus360 only in the next WebJobs cycle.
  10. You can view the confirmation message from the Notification section
